Orogun Monarch Honours Ejukonrmu With Chieftaincy Title

Orogun kingdom in Ughelli North LGA, Delta State was agog on Sunday 14th November, 2021, as His Royal Majesrty (HRM), Akpojotor Ekpo 1, the Okparuku of Orogun at is palace, honoured Ejukonemu David Ekakoghene with a chieftaincy title of “The Urhoro of Orogun Kingdom” in recognition of his sterling qualities and patriotic efforts at contributing to the wellbeing of Orogun kingdom.
At the well attended ceremony, the Royal father called on chief David Ejukonemu and every son and daughter of Orogun to be united and work for the progress of Orogun. The Okparuku, speaking through the Otota, the Ugo Ukwu chief John Ominigbo, said,
“You are now a role model having been conferred with the title of Urhoro, Let the development of the kingdom be your topmost concern at all times. You have to show good example for others to follow” the Monarch stated further that a “traditional title holder in Orogun is a symbol of honour which regenerates the holder to work more assidously for peace, growth and development of the kingdom”
Responding, chief David Ejukonemu, while pledging his loyalty to the kingdom, expressed exitement and appreciation to the Okparuku, the Ekparas, Orogun council of chiefs, and the President General of Orogun kingdom Chief (Barr.) Benson Ndakara stating that the chieftaincy institution is a cultural heritage perpetuated by the Able and charitable in the society; to chat a part of honour, respect, discipline and progress of the community, and it is to the glory of God
Chief David Ejukonemu later played host at his Sanubi residence to chiefs friends, family members and associates which included chief Barr. Meshack Anuku the Adjerese of Orogun, chief Mrs.Obiuvwevwi, Chief Joseph Orogun (JP), chief Iyede, chief Alele, Chief Ononibe and a host of so many others too numerouse to mention
